Aspiring UX Designer and Bachelor of Information student attending the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto.

Before attending the University of Toronto, I was studying Interactive Systems Design at the University of Saskatchewan. This step in my education included topics such as object-oriented systems design, digital integrated artistic practice, psychology, and critical examination of visual culture.

I was immediately interested when I learned about the Bachelor of Information program at the U of T. Upon applying, being accepted, and completing my first semester, I have found that the program is strongly aligned with my interests in design, technology, and visual culture while offering a unique and integrated learning experience.

Prior to pursuing full-time academic studies, I worked for the City of Saskatoon for nearly a decade. Throughout this experience, I consistently interacted with various stakeholders including management, contractors, and members of the public. This experience taught me valuable lessons in communication, organization, and time management while allowing me to throughly explore my artistic practice.

My artistic practice and research involve working with eclectic source materials stemming from my experience in sample-based music production. I work with unexpected pairings of materials and technologies to create digital and physical artworks.

Through my artistic practice and academic work I have had extensive experience with Blender, Photoshop, Premier Pro, and After Effects. I am also proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
